Contains day files (i.e. green copies of outward letters filed chronologically - latest date on top of each file). Copies of most if not all of these letters will be filed with the corresponding incoming letters according to subject in Central Records. On some letters are file numbers marked in pencil for the guidance of the Records officer. The letters were removed from their arch files and placed in manila folders by the Vice-Chancellor's staff before transfer to Archives.
At the front of each file is an alphabetical index to it arranged by name of recipient and including the organisation to which the recipient is attached, and the date of the outward letter.
