University Of Melbourne. Faculty Of Veterinary Science Curriculum Committee
History : The Faculty of Veterinary Science Curriculum Committee commenced on 19th August 1970, with the initial mandate of deliberating upon the need for changes to the first year subjects of biology, physics and animal handling. Thereafter it took on a wider brief of restructuring the entire veterinary science subject structure. Topics deliberated included restructuring of courses; advanced selection of candidates directly into the second year of the degree; evaluation of courses proposed for addition to the syllabus and student evaluation of the syllabus. At the final documented meeting on 9th April 1975, the Committee proposed that a completely new syllabus should be initiated to commence in 1977. Although there are no further minutes of the Curriculum Committee, there are references to it in subsequent minutes of the Faculty.
