REFERENCE FILES AND ANNUAL REPORTS [1948-1977]

This collection comprises a number of reference files, newsletters and annual reports. The reference files date from the 1950s and are held in small format folders, area list of games and other activities that can be used by personnel in the provision of services to young people. Each folder is titled however they seem to form a fragment of a larger manual of such material, the other volumes, if they existed, not being transferred. The Handbook is in the same format at the reference files and seems to have been used for the same purpose except that in this case the Handbook provides information about the nature, structure and purposed of the organisation. The newsletters are a range of titles in no apparent order, all being loose and dating from 1968-1982. The annual reports are printed copies held in a folder, the date range 1962-1968. The series was transferred from the RMIT Social Policy Archive where it had been transferred in the 1990s as part of a collection strategy to capture the records of community sector organisations operating in the welfare sector. Within the SPA, these records were not identified as series and may have been waiting processing into the archives. There was no former control number to identify the records.
