Invitations and related correspondence. This series mainly comprises correspondence relating to invitations received by J M (Malcolm) Fraser as Prime Minister (November 1975-March 1983), although there are also some invitations received following his election as Leader of the Opposition in March 1975. From 1979, the invitations are divided into acceptances and refusals, by state or territory; and those for which representatives were nominated in chronological order. From 1981, there are separate files for overseas invitations. The use of blue file covers for acceptances and red for refusals is inconsistent, and several gaps appear in the chronological sequence.  Some electorate invitations are included in the series. One item only is currently held at the University of Melbourne Archives (see list for details).
