Photograph albums documenting official overseas visits made by J M (Malcolm) Fraser during his Prime Ministership. Many are official albums, either gifts from host nations or official sets of photographs produced by the Australian Information Service. The albums cover visits to Japan (1976, 1982), China (1976), Indonesia (1976), USA (1976, 1981, 1982), India (1979, 1980), the Philippines (1979), Nigeria (1979), Mexico (1981), Korea (1982), Malaysia (1982), New Zealand (1982) and others. Events covered include the America's Cup (1980) and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Regional Meeting in New Delhi in 1980. There are also photographs showing the beginning of the construction of the new Parliament House in Canberra. Some of the albums contain Mr Fraser's personal photographs taken while on official trips and have been kept with the official sets to maintain the context in which they were created.
