Conzinc Riotinto of Australia Limited [CRA] resulted from the 1962 merger of the Australian interests of the Consolidated Zinc Corporation and Rio Tinto Limited. The Riotinto-Zinc Corporation [RTZ] was formed simultaneously in London. Additions to CRA Oral History Programme Prof. Howard K Worner was Professor of Metallurgy at the University of Melbourne 1946-55, Dean of Engineering 1953-55 before moving to industry as Director of Research at BHP 1956-62 and Director New Process Development CRA 1964-75. HKW continues following retirement at Wollongong University Microwave Research Centre.
