UM447 is an artificial series of subject files,  arranged alphabetically by file title, includes a letter from the three Professors in 1855 complaining of inadequate accommodation; a group of letters and statements from the Auditor-General relating to University accounts following the discovery of the Dickson frauds, 1902-1904; applications for recognition of degrees and matriculation from other institutions 1879-1894 etc. This series may contain estrays from the main Registrar's series.
