1975.0089 Consolidated Papers of Wilfrid Russell Grimwade [1901-1966] Creator(s): Grimwade, Sir Wilfrid Russell [1879-1955] This reference number originally referred to photographs relating to Miegunyah and other subjects transferred to Archives in 1975. Subsequent acquisitions have been consolidated and listed together under this reference number and are represented in the finding-aid attached. The majority of the collection was created by Russell Grimwade and reflects his achievements and interests; however it is apparent that Mabel (Mab) Grimwade also made a significant contribution to the collection (resulting in her inclusion in the collection's title). For example series 2 which consists of 'Subject Files' was established by WRG and contains publications of interest to him. This filing system was added to, presumably by Mab, after the death of WRG as several articles/publications post-date 1955. Series 16 contains material which specifically relates to Mab Grimwade. Note: Item 19/5 [Town of Melbourne, Harbour of Port Phillip, Australia Felix] was returned to the Ian Potter Museum of Art, University of Melbourne, June 2010. The original order of the collection is unclear due to the various listing projects which have been completed on the collection prior to the 2001/2002 listing. Original item titles have been maintained and titles imposed by the archivist appear in square brackets [ ]. File and item descriptions written by the archivist are in smaller type below file titles. This list is to 14 accessions and supersedes any previous lists. Material from all accessions has been physically co-located and listed together. Accession numbers are retained in the list at the start of file titles e.g. 88-142 [Scrap book]. Photographic material (negatives and positives) have been listed chronologically (where known).
