This collection primarily comprises photographs published by the British and Victorian Governments of social welfare activities and institutions, for example, visits by social workers to orphanages and foster homes, and photographs of the Winlaton Youth Training Centre in suburban Melbourne, (Nunawading). The photographs were collected by Ms Donella Jaggs, who had an active policy career in both jurisdictions and later lectured at RMIT. Also included are three publications reflecting the moral flavour of much of social work in the 20th Century. |
