| This series of approximately 200 items, comprises reports and reference papers dating from 1961-1991 collected or generated by the Youth Council of Victoria, covering a wide range of topics within the broad field of youth and community affairs. Topics include: income support and youth unemployment, equal pay, government youth policy, migrant youth, youth worker training and education, leadership training, volunteers, homeless youth, youth organisations, funding, sex discrimination, disabilities, religion and media. The series was transferred from the RMIT Social Policy Archive where it had been transferred in the 1990s as part of a collection strategy to capture the records of community sector organisations operating in the welfare sector. Within the SPA, these records were identified as series 24. It was the practice of the SPA to item number material in order of its receipt irrespective of the series it was later allocated; these item numbers and generally their order have been retained. |
