| This series comprises three original series created by the RMIT Social Policy Archive from records transferred from the CWS. All the records in the series were retained for reference and most were published either as books or as publications of organisations. The series is collected into three sequences: (1) Collected annual reports from a variety of charitable institutions retained for reference by Drummond Street office of CWS. Note that the RMIT SPA series description identifies box 334 as part of this series whereas the location record does not include this box. Previous reference numbers 99/2172-2227; 99/2265-2274; 99/2314. (2) Social Welfare conference papers reference collection. Previous reference numbers 100/2275-2280; 100/2315. (3) This collection may have been part of the S Grieg Smith Memorial Library but items are simply stamped Citizen Welfare Services of Victoria. Most items have a 'P' or 'M' and a Dewey number label affixed to the cover or pencilled inside. Previous reference number 101/2296-2313. Most of the records date from the post WW2 period. Note also that in Unit 2, there are two items identified in the RMIT SPA sequence as 99/2199; one of these is the Citizens Advice Bureau annual reports and the other is the Melbourne Family Care annual reports. |
