| The non-current committee papers were transferred each year from the Vice Chancellor's office to intermediate storage at the end of the year. They were stored in manila folders for each individual meeting that the Vice-Chancellor attended (or else, received papers for his information). The papers occasionally contain summaries of matters to be brought to the Committee's attention, usually from the Secretary to the Committee. Notes or copies of letters and memos from various senior administrative officers to the Vice-Chancellor also occur in the papers - for example, the Vice Principal, the Registrar etc. The papers have been culled and only those containing material additional to that contained in the official record have been retained - for example where Professor Caro and/or Sir David Derham have annotated pages etc., then all briefing notes and additional material has been kept. The committees in this series include: Academic Board, Administrative Committee, Administrators of the Academic Staff Retirement Fund , Administrators of the Disability Pension Fund, Administrators of the Samuel Gillott University Provident Fund, Alumni Association Committee, Audit Sub-Committee, Australian Vice-Chancellors Committee (AVCC), Board of Management for the Graduate School of Management, Central Budgets Committee, Committee of Deans of Faculties, Committee on Personal Chairs, Professorial Associates and Professorial Research Fellows, Council, Delegates of the Administrators of the Provident Fund, Engineering School Foundation Appeal, Engineering School Foundation Board of Management, Equal Opportunity Standing Committee, Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Graduate School of Management Foundation, Honorary Degrees, Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research Advisory Board, Investments Committee, Joint Committee on Policy, Legislation Committee, Melbourne Theatre Company Board of Management, Patents Committee, Pensions Committee, Victorian Vice-Chancellor's Committee and Works of Art Committee. |
