Semmens, Dr Edwin
Biography: Dr Edwin Semmens was Principal of the School of Forestry in Creswick from 1927, and heavily involved in both the civic present and historical past of the district. He tirelessly sought and preserved both documents and artefacts relating to the history of Creswick and its region. He was made Doctor of Forest Science (Honoris causa) by the University of Melbourne in 1977. Born in 1886, he died in 1981, aged 94.
