Rooney, Pat
Biography: Pat Rooney was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1935 and trained as a nurse. After arriving in Australia in 1970, she gave birth to her son in 1971. She continued nursing work and in the 1970s became involved in the women's liberation movement and in the lesbian community. She retired from nursing in the mid-1980s, opened a gift shop in Gertude St, Fitzroy and joined the Performing Older Women's Circus.
