Martin, Robyn
Biography: Robyn Martin was born in Prahran, Melbourne in 1958. As a school girl at a state high school she led a successful protest to allow girls to wear trousers to school. Later she became involved in groups such as the Lesbian Action Group and the softball team, the Radclyffe Runners. In the 1980s Martin was employed at the Western Women's Refuge and was also involved in the 'Lesbian News' editorial group and the Women's Liberation Archives Group. She helped initiate the first Melbourne Lesbian Festival in 1990. In the 1990s she became a member of the Mountain Collective in NSW and in 2004 was teaching IT and living in Wauchope, NSW.
