Biography:

Underground mine manager at the Zinc Corporation Broken Hill, 1956-1959, RTM became General Manager of ZC's General Mining Division, 1960-1964, General Manager of Hamersley Iron, 1965-71. Becoming a Director of CRA 1968, RTM became a Director of RTZ, HI and Blair Athol Coal from 1971/72 - 1981, and Director of Comalco 1976 to 1982. He was director of a number of other companies including APV Holdings, Muswell Energy and Minerals, and Aluminium Smelters of Victoria Ltd. RTM has been involved with a number of bodies including the Australia Japan Foundation, Australian Academy of Technological Sciences, Pacific Basin Economic Council, AIMME and AusIMM.
