Hayter, Joanne
Biography: Joanne Hayter began working as a peace activist as a volunteer with Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) in London in 1982- 1983. Between 1983 and 1987 she worked as State Co-ordinator for People for Nuclear Disarmament (PND) in Perth. During 1985 and 1987 she also worked as Research Officer for Jo Vallentine in her campaigns for election to the Senate. Jo Hayter was granted the Quaker funded Donald Groom Fellowship to Japan in 1986. She moved to Melbourne in 1987 and began working as Campaign Officer for PND.
