Friday, Barbara
Biography: Barbara Friday was born in Hobart in 1942. She began nurses' training in 1959 and worked in nursing until 1965. Married in 1963, she moved to Broken Hill (1965-72) and had two children. She returned to Melbourne in 1972 and became a women's liberation activist soon after. She has identified as a lesbian since 1978. She studied social work in the 1970s and later worked as a social worker and counsellor. This collection is No.51 of the Victorian Women's Liberation and Lesbian Feminist Archive
