Fernbacher, Sabin
Biography: Sabin Fernbacher was born in 1961 in Vocklabruck, Austria. She has a B.Ed. and a Master of Arts. She worked in the Rape Crisis Centre in Vienna and was involved in Women's Centre Cafe in Vienna and the Women's Building in San Francisco. After arriving in Australia Fernbacher again worked in women's services, including refuges. From 1989-94 she was involved in the Amazon Theatre and helped organise the 1991 Lesbian Festival in Melbourne. By 2004 Sabin was working in mental health services for women, specifically in service development and women's mental health issues, focussing on women, mental illness, domestic violence and sexual abuse issues.
