| This series of files contains letters received at Editions de l'Oiseau-Lyre as well as Secretarial copies of outward letters in reply. The Secretarial copies were often typed on the back of pamphlets due to paper shortages and are fragile. Secretarial files were arranged in chronological order when found and this order has been kept. Some letters from these files had been selected and placed in the series Musicians, Writers and Authors Letters (2016.0034) by Mary Criswick. Where possible cross references to the Secretarial files are included in the list of Musicians, Writers and Authors Letters so that following them might lead to related letters or to an understanding of the context of the original letters. |
