| This series consists of client records in files dating from the 1930s to 2012 found in the office of the Administrator along with personnel, legal, and banking records. Files were arranged according to their purpose and use. This series contains the majority of customer records including orders, invoices and correspondence grouped and retained into four classifications: Client files; Major clients; Inactive clients; Client files by country. Clients were music stores and music libraries from around the world, and these files document sales and commercial relationships with them. Files were stored mostly in A4 document folders, some of which were already ordered in archive boxes when prepared for transfer from the offices of Editions de l'Oiseau-Lyre in Monaco to the University of Melbourne. The existing method of record keeping has been retained. |
