| Birthday and election congratulatory messages and replies. This series contains congratulatory letters, cards and telegrams to former Prime Minister J M (Malcolm) Fraser from friends, political colleagues, staff and members of the public on the occasion of his 50th birthday (21 May 1980) and in relation to the return of his Liberal-Coalition Government at the election on 18 October 1980. The series also includes a smaller number of congratulatory letters and cards relating to Mr Fraser's birthday in 1982. In most cases, copies of replies are attached to the incoming correspondence.
