Correspondence relating to Mr. Fraser's election as Leader of the Opposition, Bass by-election and the 1975 political crisis. Most of the series consists of letters and messages documenting public opinion on the Whitlam Government, Fraser's Opposition election prospects and particularly its actions in relation to supply bills. These files include several thousand individual letters and telegrams in which support and protest are fairly evenly balanced. Formerly National Archives of Australia series M1262.
