Miscellaneous correspondence maintained by J M (Malcolm) Fraser during his second term as Minister for Education and Science (1971-72) and, subsequently, as a member of the Opposition during the Whitlam Labor Government (1972-1975). The subjects covered include the Australia Party, abortion, education, primary industry, companies, Lake Pedder, the Little Red Schoolbook, Protection Commission, Commonwealth Public Service etc. There is also some more personal correspondence from professional colleagues, friends and Mr Fraser's sister (Mrs B Whiting), and several reports and publications relating to particular companies and other organisations (e.g. Ian Potter Foundation, Australian Conservation Foundation).
