Due to fragility, original copies are withheld and photocopies are made available for use. Diaries contain newspaper cuttings, annotations, photograohs, letters, programmes and other ephemera. Leather case (2 cm x 32 x 22.7 cm) with clear gridded sewn-in plastic front, probably for holding/reading map(s); top back has a small leather loop and metal ring on either side, presumably to attach a carrying strap; 'PRIESTLEY, R.E.' stamped into leather beneath the press-studded closure flap; undated.
