Australian Book Review

The first series of the “Australian Book Review”, edited by Max Harris and Rosemary Wighton ceased publication in 1973, resuming in 1978. The official journal of the National Book Council, the “Australian Book Review” is a monthly publication intended to provide a comprehensive coverage of Australian books. Up to 1000 books originating in Australia by Australian writers and books about Australia are reviewed or covered each year by the "Australian Book Review". Its first editor was John McLaren.
