Western Mining Corporation and a group of associated and subsidiary companies, promoted through Collins House Group channels, started a major revival of gold mining in the 1930s. In the 1950s and 1960s, W.M.C. expanded into aluminium, iron and nickel to become one of Australia's largest mining houses.
