The University administration is supported by a broad network of committees that form the core of the University's governance.

The University of Melbourne Archives holds the minutes of over 100 of these committees. The minutes of the faculty committes, as well as central governing committees, such as the Finance Committe, University Council and the Professorial Board up tot he 1970s are housed on microfilm in the reading room and are available on open access during opening hours.

For a full list of committees whose papers are housed at the UMA, browse by 'Creator's acitivity or occupation' and select the option of 'University Committee'. For specific committees, search for the name of the committee or for individuals prominent in them.
