The University's student medical societies were, from a very early period, highly active in organising social events and advocating on behalf of medical students. The Melbourne University Medical Students' Society continues to exist to today. The Medical Society of Victoria collection dates from 1867 to 1955. The Society was one of the most important medical associations in Victoria during this time. |
