The University if Melbourne Archives holds a small collection of material relating to both the Institute of Municipal Engineers (now the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia) and the Institution of Production Engineers. The UMA holds a large number of trade union collections relating to engineering work, including the Amalgamated Engineering Union, the Association of Draughting, Supervisory and Technical Employees, the Federated Moulders' Union and the Australian Institute of Marine and Power Engineers.
