Australian Book Review
History : The "Australian Book Review", the official journal of the National Book Council resumed publication in 1978. The first series, edited by Max Harris and Rosemary Wighton ceased publication in 1973. The monthly publication was intended to provide a comprehensive coverage of Australian books. Up to 1000 books originating in Australia by Australian writers and books about Australia are reviewed or covered each year by the "Australian Book Review". Its first editor was John McLaren.
