Biography: |
Elizabeth Leggo was born at Ninevah Street, Cornwall, England in December 1837. She emigrated to Australia in 1855 and settled in Eaglehawk where she raised a large family and was deeply committed to the Methodist Church. After the death of her husband, Leggo left Eaglehawk for Melbourne in 1886. Until her death, she lived with her children in Ballarat and Bendigo. |
