Correspondence and personal records of A.B. (Alan) Ritchie Daniel Ritchie, Lillian Ritchie and Robin Ritchie. Several volumes of Alan Ritchie’s inward and outward correspondence which is arranged alphabetically. Much of this relates to business e.g. running R.B. Ritchie and Son or his own personal business e.g. corresponding with government departments, banks, accounting companies, solicitors, equipment suppliers etc. Personal correspondence with prominent people about broader agricultural issues and world affairs such as with former Prime Minister Stanley Melbourne Bruce (who Alan wrote speeches for in the 1920s) and Professor S. Wadham . A.B Ritchie and Wadham featured in an ABC Broadcast "is the pastoralist his own worst enemy?" Other notable correspondents include R.G Casey, Professor Douglas Copeland with whom Alan discussed Australian political and economic issues and various economic and pastoral societies and the C.S.I.R.O A.B Ritchie’s appointment diaries and personal journals kept by Lillian Ritchie, wife of Robert Blackwood Ritchie and mother of Robin and Alan Ritchie. Daniel Ritchie’s diary during his time as Surgeon Superintendent of the "Pestonjee Bomanjee" a hired transport transporting convicts to Van Diemen's Land. A.B Ritchie’s diary documenting his overseas travels and time with Royal Navy in Liverpool during World War 2. Published work edited by Daniel Ritchie "The Voice of Our Exiles or Stray Leaves From a Convict Ship," guest books, photos, letters and papers of Robin Ritchie who was killed during World War 1, a family history file compiled during the 1990s and a program for the memorial service for Alan Ritchie.
