Rio Tinto Zinc Corporation is the London based 'wing' of the corporation formed by the 1962 merger of Rio Tinto Company Limited with the Zinc Corporation, its Australian division being ConZinc Rio Tinto (CRA Limited). As at May 1987 RTZ controlled 49% of CRA shares. The Zinc Corporation, London, was the parent financing company for the Zinc Corporation (later Consolidated Zinc) whose Broken Hill operations continue to the present. |
