The names of many activist union members and officials of the 1960s to 1980s appear, such as John Arrowsmith, Percy Johnston, Jim Frazer, Ron McNolty and issues discussed and debated range from specific workplace issues to union support for the anti-Vietnam Moratorium and concern with other social and political issues.
