Three books containing notes of Professor F. McCoy's botany lectures. 1. 8vo notbook labelled "Chemistry and Mineralogy/Botany 1". Commences with notes headed "Chemistry and Mineralogy", but consists of notes of Botany lectures, 5 April 1875 - 21 April 1875. Contains letter from C.W.N. Sexton, Acting Professor of Engineering, to Professor Turner, Botany, 28 April 1944, covering the books, found among books of George Higgins; one loose sheet containing memoranda. 2. 8vo notebook labelled "Botany 2", 30 - 31 April 1875. 3. 4vo notebook labelled "Botany No. 1". On the first page written in Higgins' hand "1 Botany. Notes from Professor McCoy's lectures commenced 5th April 1875. Ended 31st May 1875. George Higgins. Melbourne University." This book contains a revised version of the notes in 1., but is completed only to 12 April 1875. At the back is a summary of three chapters of an unnamed book.
