Slater And Gordon
History : The law firm was established in 1924 by William Slater, a prominent Labor MP who was also Australia's Attorney-General. After Gordon's death on active service during WW11 and Slater's appointment as Australian ambassador to the Soviet Union in 1942, Ted Hill became the firm's manager, remaining with them until 1948, during which time he widely expanded the firm's industrial practice.
