Robinson, William Sydney

Biography: WS Robinson was one of Australia's most influential businessmen. He and WL Baillieu were the major figures behind the giant Melbourne and London based empire of base and noble metals industries, the Collins House Group. As well as serving as adviser to several Australian Prime Ministers he was closely involved with many leading Australian, British and American politicians and businessmen. Through his career he was associated with all aspects of the Barrier Mines and associated industries. He travelled widely on commercial and Australian Government related matters.
