Derham, Lady Rosemary Joan
Biography: Rosemary Joan Derham was born in 1921, the daughter of General Sir Brudenell White, and educated at Toorak College (Frankston) University College (University of Melbourne). In 1944 she married David Derham who was Professor of Jurisprudence at the University of Melbourne from 1951 to 1964 and Vice-Chancellor from 1968 to 1982. Lady Derham has been a member of numerous public and University committees including the Committee of Management of the Royal Children's Hospital (1964); Vice-President of Volunteer Services (1966-1979); President of the Women of the University fund (1976-1982) and President of the University of Melbourne Auxilaries (1976-1982).
