Two audio-cassettes of an interview with Joan Goodwin conducted by Carmel Shute in 1980 on behalf of the Communist Party Women's Collective, in an attempt to gather the stories of older Communist women. One audio-cassette of a conversation between Joan and Lyn Hovey in April 1991 regarding Joan's experience of evictions of the unemployed in 1932-1933. This tape was to have formed part of a series covering Joan's life and to have led to a book. The project was not continued due to Joan's failing health. The transcript of the interview was significantly edited by Joan Goodwin.
